Essential Care Group is proud to support Young Carers Awareness Day (28th January 2016) to help raise recognition for the 700,000 young carers in the UK who work around the clock providing care and support to family and friends.

As a trusted care provider ourselves, we understand the importance of care and how much passion and dedication it takes to provide a high standard of care whether it’s for children or adults, so for a child to have such a responsibility, we certainly applaud their efforts.

Carers Trust, the charity started Young Carers Awareness Day started the event to get everyone talking about the thousands of carers who are so often unidentified, and who miss out on the vital services and support that they are entitled to.

By increasing awareness and understanding of the event, it is hoped that children and young people with caring responsibilities can be more easily identified and helped, along with their families, to access the right support.

So to help raise awareness and understanding, Essential Care Group have created a quick fire quiz on their website that features 11 questions all with facts and figures relating to young carers. You have 30 seconds to answer as many as you can, with time added on for each correct answer. Good luck, the link is here: http://bit.ly/1TpL8Hv
