Essential Training Group has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our ambitious team.

You will be responsible for establishing the profile of the company and generating sales with the support of the Director of Learning and Development to help move the business forward.

We are looking for a person who is able to work under pressure whilst maintaining professionalism and accuracy, have a strong attention to detail and be able to work as part of a team.

Job Description: Telesales with Administration

Salary: £18,500

Hours of Work: 08:30 to 17:00 – Monday to Friday with occasional out of office hours required due to the business needs

Holiday: 22 Days per annum, plus Bank Holidays

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create sales leads
  • Follow up on sales leads for new business with cold calling
  • Meet sales targets
  • Send out marketing information to existing and potential customers
  • Make accurate and rapid calculations
  • Report to the Director of Learning and Development
  • Provide customers and potential customers with sales quotations
  • Negotiating terms of agreement and closing sales
  • Determining delivery and course content specifications when making a sale
  • Promoting Essential Training and our sister company Essential Healthcare where appropriate
  • Evaluate own effectiveness
  • Organise own sales visits and sales visits with or for the Director of Learning and Development
  • Stand in for Director of Learning and Development on sales visits when necessary
  • Liaise with Director of Learning and Development if new products are requested
  • Create working relationships with potential customers
  • Report and provide feedback regarding barriers faced and competition
  • Keep records of sales calls made and conversations with potential and existing clients
  • Create reviews and reports for Director of Learning and Development
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences
  • Liaise with and organise tutors diaries when bookings have been made
  • Update training calendar with new bookings
  • Remain professional at all times
  • Give administration support to the team when required in relation to:
  • Answering the telephone
  • Producing and printing certificates
  • Prepare workbooks and course materials
  • Support the team in any way possible

What you’ll have:

  • Level 2 in English and Maths
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be enthusiastic, driven and ambitious
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to manage groups of people
  • Proven track record in a sales environment
  • Access to own vehicle with business insurance
  • Competency in Microsoft office including Outlook, Excel and Word
